Hi Panchanan,

I am Raj working in the development sector from last 1 year and I find it very close to what I want to do. Earlier I worked with professional organisations.

I am willing serve as volunteer and I have got some queries...

How is the image of indian consultant/professional vis a vis western professional. I heard that in African countries people prefer western professionals. They think that Indians are more selfish than western professional. Is it true?

Does the volunteer get enough money to meet his/her basic need at the project area? Is it sufficient enough for survival in foreign land?

Please answer me. I am waiting for your reply.

Raj

Hi Puja,

Sorry for late as very very busy time in training and monitoring visit. In the assessment IVO will interview in two ways one they will see your talent in group and another single assessment with you. In my opinion both are important but in a one to one assessment is more important interms of your good reference about ivo and VSO organization, your achievemnt so far with relevant examples, your strong committment to volunteering. You see IVO have six principles based on that six princples they will interview , I cant remember that but go to the ivo website or vso website and remember those before assessment.Remember that how many recruitment base vso have, how many countries vso work with. when vso started with what aim, vso mission, vision etc.See those and feel comfortable things will go smooth and I wish you will be successful in assessment day. Thanks Puja.If you need more please write me a mail in my email: panchanan76international@gmail.com
