Profile Information

Where were/are you volunteering - Country, Year
Not Sure yet, perhaps Malawi or Ethiopia
About Me:
I was born and brought up entirely in Kerala and I realized how much of a "frog in a well" I really was when I started working and subsequently traveled around the world. There were much more things to be learned, many more people to be met, even more experiences to be shared.

This was why I took a chance and left my job at Infosys and left for Sweden which was completely new to me and to be honest unknown to a lot of people where I come from (I would begin to say ... "swe" and they would complete me by saying ".. tzerland? " lol ). I did alright... I guess, I made a lot of friends a handful of whom went back to their countries to continue their studies after a three week visit to my hometown in Kerala when I came back from Sweden.

Music is my life and my guitar is my soul. I enjoy music of all genres; I love to dance and sing even though I've never learned either. I bungee jump when I can and I love chocolate.

Professionally, I am a Business Analyst/ Techno-functional consultant proficient in the Banking domain (Finacle). I love to do product management and People Management and I got into it during my stay as the Head of IT at Chalmers University, Sweden during which I completed my Masters in Computer Science. (Artificial Intelligence)

I was introduced to Volunteering very recently by an exchange student from Ethiopia who mentioned that his English teacher was from India and that he was teaching as part of the Volunteering program and it got me thinking about what little I can do to make the living of a few people slightly, if not very , better.

A part time masseur back in the days,I love taking a walk in the green fields near my ancestral hometown. I am usually calm and collected and you will always refer to me as "that guy who always smiles". =)

Believe me, I am not crazy. I just love being happy.
=)

Cheers!

P.S: My assessment day is on Oct 13th. If there is anyone on the same day, please do let me know.
What were you doing before volunteering

:) Humbly accept your very pleasing compliment.

Yes sure, we were planning on an assessment in November for those who had missed out on earlier days. But to distress, we are nnot bein able to take it forward due to certain reasons.
I would be pleased to inform you that we have a set of 5 ADs in January, if you still pleased to take it forward. ( No one s forcing, forgive me if you feel pestered).

Even if you dont intend to, it is perfectly fine. It is always a pleasure to have people like you in the community.

thanks
Samta

Hi Ravi,

As per my knowledge you were scheduled for an AD but probably could not attend. Would you like to share in if there was any particular problem owing to which you could not make it. I venture to ask you this in healthy professional spirit since if it was due to any of the miscommunication on our part, we would like to take in your suggestion on how to work on it.

Thanks
Samta
