Introduction:
According to 2008 Surveillance Report, HIVAIDS prevalence is estimated to be 5.8 % of the population, approximately 1.1 million Tanzanians and over 700,000 people have died of AIDS and at least 800,000 children have been orphaned in Tanzania. Unprotected heterosexual sex has driven the epidemic, which has further fuelled by high levels of STIs & limited prevention of Mother to Child transmission.
