CARE International in Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania- from 4th March 2008 under VSO Tanzania.
About Me:
Graduat in Anthropology and Master in Social Work (MSW) in 1996. After that worked in various organizations based in local, national and even international organizations like UNDP in the field of health including HIV AIDS, sexuality & Reproductive, empowerment, community development, natural resource management, TOT training, Micro finance & SHG, Gender, Disability, Rehabilitational work etc for last 12 years. I am from Manipur state, India and I belongs Meitai community.
Completed Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management(HDCM) from Institute of Cooperative Management, Imphal, Manipur in the year 2005.
Now, working in CARE Inernational in Tanzania as a HIV/AIDS Mainstreaming Advisor. Here, the project mainly focus on PLHA persons internally as well as externally.
What were you doing before volunteering
Worked in various organizations in local, national and even international organizations like UNDP.

Introduction:
According to 2008 Surveillance Report, HIVAIDS prevalence is estimated to be 5.8 % of the population, approximately 1.1 million Tanzanians and over 700,000 people have died of AIDS and at least 800,000 children have been orphaned in Tanzania. Globally, AIDS had so far killed more than 25 million people since it was first recognized in 1981. In 2007 the number of PLWHA globally was estimated to be 33.2 million (UNAIDS). I have submitted the application in ivo format.
I will be leaving for Nagaland by 26 Nvmbr and hope to stay up to Christmas.
Did you hear that a Thankul girl was molested and murdered recently in Delhi by IIT researcher and another one was molested by a local business man and there was protest by NSF in Delhi.
When will you back to home?
What is your future plan? Any plan for one volunteer term.
One of my friends told me that there are number of vacancies in UNODC Shillong Region.

Let me ask you one doubt..
Right now i am a student, but i have 9 years of working experience in NGO settinga after the completion of my graduation.( iam a Best teacher award winner from govt.of Nagaland). Does my work experience be considered by ivo? or i have to work two more years after msw to get experienced to apply for??

Wishing U a Fantabulous Diwali,
Here everything is fine. I will go to Nagaland in November to attend the annual session of the NGO, I worked.
Regarding ivo assignment. I have not applied for it even now. As I told u earlier I am in the last semester of my MSW ( Family n Child Welfare). I thought of applying to ivo after the completion of my course.
Enjoy the remaining four months in Tanzania..

Ahaaa a long sigh..I could take rest for sometime. Conference was successfully over. We had 229 participants from different parts of the nation. 7 expert sessions and 39 papers were presented. I could successfully present my paper and was able to answer all the questions by the experts. Your blog posts were extremely useful for me to make an introductory remarks on our theme of the conference..thank you…hope ur doing well!
